Description

Body Construction: Blow molded with a minimum measurement of 2.2 mm all around the body circumference and along the length of the body.

Material: High Molecular Weight High Density Polyethylene that is FDA compliant.

Color: Blue, Black, Natural, or Custom colors available – minimum quantities apply

Closure systems: 2” buttress and 2” NPS plugs. EPDM gaskets are standard. 2” buttress with ¾ inch reducer and faucet carrier are available. Additional gasket materials are available. Specialty closure systems and gaskets are available. The following closure combinations give maximum assurance:

• 2” Buttress Plug – Non Vented
• 2” NPS Plug – Non Vented
• 2” Buttress Plug with ¾” Fine Thread Plug

Exterior Decoration: Every drum offers a large area on the body for the application of labels and sleeves.

Options: Plastic dust covers, tamper resistant and tamper evident snap seals and sealing caps.

GEO Plastics’ UN-approved plastic drums are manufactured using state-of-the-art technologies to meet the stringent demands of chemical compatibility with hazardous and non-hazardous products as well as reliability and safety requirements for the U.S. chemical and food service industries. Our 55 gallon tight head drums are extremely strong and compatible with most drum handling devices. In addition, our drums include a bottom handhold for easy use. We are FDA compliant and Kosher certified.

Special notes:
  1. Maximum filling temperature 150 F.  When filled at this recommended maximum filling temperature drums should be allowed to cool to ambient prior to stacking.  Drums filled at elevated temperatures should be vented properly to prevent vacuum formation within the drum which can compromise stacking strength.
  2. Drums may be stacked 3 high maximum with pallets between drums.  Maximum top load on bottom drums not to exceed 2,000 lbs. each.  Pallets should be of good quality that provide adequate support for plastic drums.
  3. Handle with parrot beak, side grabber, and sling.
  4. Recycle symbol, alignment arrows, and bung types are molded on the drum.  Lot number is on the bottom.
